DOT Physical Exam: This is the standard department of transportation exam necessary to receive your commercial motor vehicle driver's license medical card. Please bring a state issued identification card or driver's license.

Dr. Stephen M. Swaringen is the clinic director of Performance Spine & Sport Rehabilitation. As a Chiropractor and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Dr. Swaringen is wholeheartedly passionate about chiropractic care, physical rehabilitation therapy, nutrition and fitness, and he focuses his efforts on helping his patients achieve their health and fitness goals. “I strive to lead by example in the face of adversity, exemplify good teamwork and sportsmanship, and have fun during the process.”

Utilizing a multi-faceted approach in chiropractic and physical rehabilitation therapy, Dr. Swaringen has successfully treated a wide variety of acute and chronic physical conditions including sports injuries, repetitive stress disorders, postural disorders, work injuries and auto accidents. It was Dr. Swaringen’s love for athletics, however, that drove him to specialize in sports injuries. He applies this knowledge to competitors of all levels, from high school, to college and professional athletes. “By providing highly specialized care, we not only manage sports injuries, but we also push our athletes to maximize their performance, and keep them in the game.”

Dr. Swaringen strives to provide patients with a strong support system, encouraging a positive attitude on your journey toward health. He knows the road to success is filled with challenges, but he’s willing to push you to new limits. “When we break down the barrier of doubt, remove the excuses, and make the time, we see that anything can be accomplished.”

Dr. Swaringen is certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners in chiropractic and physiotherapy, and is licensed by the Florida Board of Medicine. Dr. Swaringen received his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida, and his Bachelors of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
